San Bernardino Golf Courses

Although there is only the one golf course right in Bear Lake (the Bear Mountain Golf Course, see below) there are several worthwhile public courses in San Bernardino, less than an hour's drive away. These include:

San Bernardino Golf Club San Bernardino Golf Club

San Bernardino, CA 92408,

(909)825-1670

San Bernardino Golf Club is a public, 18-hole regulation length golf course in San Bernardino, California. This short layout has 3 sets of tee boxes for a fun, but challenging golfing experience. SBGC is an award winner in "Golf for Women" magazine . . . men will love it, too.

Green fees range from about $32 to $42, depending on time and season. The 5795 yard, par 70 course, built in 1969 and designed by Dan Brown, is turfed with Bermuda grass and includes a driving range

Shandin Hills Golf Club

Shandin HillsBuilt in 1984, this Cary Bickler designed, 18 hole public course is situated on the edge of the foothills northwest of the city of San Bernardino, California.

With narrow, tree lined fairways of bermuda / winter rye grass, thick...deep rough, an overabundance of bunkers, and soft but fast greens of poannua / bent grass. this course most certainly has much to offer golfers of all skill levels.

When you take into consideration the very affordable green fees, the friendly staff, the practice range, bar, restaurant and club house facilities, you're sure to walk away from here with a smile on your face, regardless of how well you scored on the course.

And by-the-way, Kirk Triplett holds the course record of 61 !

This flat, yet challenging course was once a military course that has now gone public. There are many eucalyptus trees lining the fairways and three water hazards that come into play on the back nine. There are out-of-bounds stakes lining several of the fairways.

Designed by William F. Bell and built in 1957 (50 years old this year!) this track measures 6674 yards from the Championship tees, a par 72 course with a slope rating of 71.5.
