A popular place to arrange for fishing for Rainbow Trout, Bass, Catfish or Pan fish, or to enjoy a variety of other water sport activities is the Big Bear Marina, located on the lake at the foot of Paine Road off Lakeview Drive.
Big Bear Marina offers a wide variety of fishing and boating experiences, from straighforward lake fishing in a 14' aluminum boat with 9.9 horse outboard, to medium (6 passengers) and large (12 passenger) pontoon boats that are notable for their stability for simple aquatic outings or as a fishing platform. Professional fishing guides are available to help you find and land the "big one".
The marina also offers a variety of other aquatic options from 2, 3 & 4 seater wave runners to kayaks and canoes for those wanting something a little more peaceful to enjoy the clear waters and mountain views of the lake. You can even rent a waterskiing boat and take your pals out for a run!
And, if you have your own boat, you can launch it at the Marina's launch ramp, whether on a daily basis or by getting a season's pass. And once it's launched, you can rent a birth at one of their docks.
If you want a great tour of the lake from the water, Big Bear Marina runs a terrific waterfront tour with their 55 passenger vessel, the Big Bear Queen. which operates daily, two hour narrated tours and can also accommodate private bookings for special occasions.
The marina also offers pressure washing, winterization, and winter storage.
